Photo (and Poetry) Blog
Moving on ...

A rose that I shot yesterday. Yes, you can also expect more flower photos, not only pictures from Switzerland :-). It actually rains right now, so you're better off with the rose.

Progress in the library. So far, I have only managed to put all books on the shelves. Next, I'll have to make some order too. In all three thousands of them!
Winter in Winterthur

Winter in Winterthur.

Slowly, the house starts to look like a home. My work room was one of the first rooms to be ready.
New year, new beginnings

It feels strange not to do the daily photo! Even though it may not have been many photos these lasts couple of weeks; you probably noticed the silence on this page.
I have moved to Switzerland on January 13th 2013. New year, new beginnings. I'm looking forward getting to know this beautiful country. And you can look forward to a lot of Swiss photos.
We live now in Winterthur, 30' from Zurich, very close to a green area - very much similar to Lidingö. We love being this close to the nature. This photo was taken this morning in the woods behind our house. And at the same time, in 30' we can be in the international city of Zurich!
365 Days: A Summary

Wow - I made it! A photo a day, for 365 days. I can't say I'm not relieved. It was a lot of fun most of the time, but a bit challenging when pressed for time or just dead tired. But it was worth it. And since I love lists, a few points to consider when starting a 365 photo project and some advice that I hope you will find useful.
- It takes time. Be prepared to dedicate it at least 45 minutes a day, often more if you want to post more than a photo of your lunch.
- It takes commitment and discipline. You need to create a routine so that things get done. It's easy to slip and let go if you miss a few days.
- Don't be too ambitious! If you have a bad day or no ideas, just shoot your lunch and get it over with. I did it myself even though I had sworn never to upload a photo of my meal. Better your lunch than letting go. Don't do it too often though.
- This WILL boost your creativity. When you know you have to come up with a snapshot, you get very creative.
- You will see the world with different eyes. You will notice far more things around you when you're constantly looking for subjects for the daily photo.
- Best of all: it's a lot of fun! Go do it, and good luck!
